Students struggle with phenomena. This handout comes in 2 sections: the first helps students activate their prior knowledge and gives you a preassessment of their current misconceptions of the concept before teaching it.
The second section can be done as an assessment of the content and gives students the opportunity to revisit their first model, make changes, and apply their newfound knowledge to what they observed.
